I created a Virtual Reality (VR) environment using a software called FrameVR that hosted a town center that delivers an English Language learning experience for children ages 3-6 who come from a non-native English speaking family. The objective was to create a learning course that is gamified and makes use of best practice frameworks to effectively teach english-language learners how to adopt english words and phrases commonly used in a familiar setting. Online Scoring System

An AI-assisted Social Studies evaluation scorecard created with support from Claude to help educators assess student understanding more precisely and consistently. The scorecard was refined through two rounds of qualitative & quantitative user testing with Social Studies teachers and teachers from other subject areas, and their feedback directly informed the final design. The result is a more structured, transparent, and practical tool for evaluating learning and improving instruction.

FPG Internship: From Research to Prototype

AI for STEM Early-Childhood Educators

At the Frank Porter Graham Child Development Institute (FPG), I supported the development of STEMIEBOT, an AI-based chatbot designed to strengthen access to early childhood STEM resources. My work included researching AI platforms, creating outreach materials for stakeholder engagement, drafting early childhood STEM prompts, preparing focus group interview materials, and contributing to the design and development of the prototype. This experience helped me grow in educational technology, user-centered design, research-informed development, and collaborative project work.
